Multi Media

Week 1 Multi Media Concept
Students will take part in an orientation and pretest to evaluate  where each students is at.
Participants will take part in 16 weeks of hand own training in marketing by creating banners, web sites, flyers, tee-shirts, drafting press releases and the media advertising via trade shows. Students are introduced to the concepts of media, which will include entry level introduction to computers, light sound, film editing, animation, and e-commerce marketing:  

Our state of the art technolodgy lab provides participants with all of the update programs and software used in the industry.                                
        Week 2 Production Safety
Students will be taught about to use equipment safely and how to avoid hazards. 

 

Week 3 Film Production & Editing 
Students will learn how to create movies, documentaries and trailer. They will also take part in filming the final event. They will work with the acting crew to create trailers that they will post on the internet. Filming the event and providing copies to participants will bring a great deal of personal satisfaction for each student. 

Week 4 Lighting and Sound
Students will learn how to create the proper lighting for the look that they need for their shot. Students will learn about shadows dual imaging.
Students will also learn about how to produce sound effects and create sound tracks. 

Week 5
Students will review the story board to determine what shots they will need and the angles they need to shoot from.  

Week 6 Animation and Marketing
Students will learn to develop flyers and web sites along with creating press releases. 

Week 7 Field Trip to production studios
Participants will take part in a field trip to learn see a studio production being made. This will add to their confidence as they ask questions from professionals in the industry. 

Week 8 Post Test 
Students will be given to students as they begin shooting the play as it enters into its final stages. 

Week 9 Trailer and edit
Students will shoot portions of the rehearsals interview the students from other departments and edit their work.  

Week 10 Trailer and edit
Students will shoot portions of the rehearsals and edit their work.  

Week 11 Trailer and edit
Students will shoot portions of the rehearsals interview cast and directors and edit their work.  Week 12 Trailer and edit
Students will present their work to their instructor and peers to showcase their work. 

Week 13: Career Employability Training
While continuing to film and edit rehearsals students will take part in the career employability course. This is done to prepare them for graduation and to be prepare to enter into the job market. 
Topics will include:
1) Choosing a Career – How to choose what’s right for you
2) Basic Computer Skills / World Wide Web
3) Resume Writing / Completing Applications 
4) Effective Communication / How to set up an interview 

Week 14: Career Employability Training
While continuing to work on their assignments students will take part in the career employability course. This is done to prepare them for graduation and to be prepare to enter into the job market. 
Topics will include:
1) Dressing for Success
2) Work Place Behavior 
3) Social Responsibility 
4) Conflict Resolution / Avoiding Conflicts on the Job / Advancing on the Job.
5) Money Management Personal Financing, Investing, Credit & Collection 

Week 15: Dress Rehearsal
This week will be dedicated to preparing for the production. 

Week 16: Performance / Graduation
Students will showcase their new learned skills during a theatrical performance.
Following the performance each graduate will be presented with a certificate of completion.
